Madera County Emergency Warning System Madera County is now issuing critical warnings to citizens county-wide. Should there ever be a threat to your health or safety, you can receive notifications by registering online.
Registration of Phone Numbers The MC Alert Emergency Warning System database already houses landline phone numbers. If you want to be reached by other means such as cellular phone, work phone, email, fax, or via instant messaging, you MUST register that information. All information you provide will be kept strictly confidential.
Use of the System MC Alert is used to deliver alerts when there is a threat to the health or safety of Madera County residents.
How it Works The process begins when MC Alert sends out a message about a potential safety hazard or concern. Messages may be sent to all standard voice and text communication devices, including landline phone numbers, cellular phone numbers, faxes, and email. If you do not confirm receipt of the message, the system will continue trying to contact you until it receives a confirmation from you.
Cost There is no cost to register. MC Alert is a free service provided by the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of Emergency Services in cooperation with the Picayune Rancheria of Chukchansi Indians and participating cities.
Cellular phone companies may apply a service charge to your bill if you receive alerts by way of cellular calls and/or text messaging. Madera County is not responsible for any charges that may be incurred as a result of receiving these alerts on your cell phone.
Privacy Notice and Disclaimer The County of Madera does not share or distribute personal information gathered by this form. The information you provide is used for the express purpose of providing community emergency notifications and warnings. Your information is submitted over a secure encrypted connection for your protection.
